Paseky nad Jizerou - a mountain village spread over the hillsides of the Příchovický mountain ridge with beautiful timbered mountain cottages. In the building of the vicarage, there is a museum, in which samples of loom weaving, flax processing and wood lathe-turning are gathered. A part of exposition dedicated to the art of local violinmakers, above all of a teaching assistant and writer V. Metelka (1807-1867), is very interesting.
Beautiful mountain cottages of the Giant-Mountain type with typical decoration of gables were preserved. Another important building is a Baroque church of St. Wenceslas from the end of the 18th century. In the former vicarage, it is possible to visit a museum – Memorial of Forgotten Patriots with expositions remembering local famous violinmaker Věnceslav Metelka with demonstrations of typical folk crafts.
