Rokytnice nad Jizerou - Church sv. Michala
This late-Baroque building was built in the place of a former small wooden Protestant church, which was built already in 1598. In 1752, count Ernst Qvido Harrach issued basic decrees allowing construction of the church. Its foundation stone was laid in 1753 on the grounds of a project by an unknown Viennese architect. The construction of the church was finished in 1758, bells were lifted up to the church, and a clock constructed in 1746 by an unknown Prague clockmaker was installed. In 1759, a cross was placed at the top of the church tower, and the church was consecrated.
In the 80's of the 19th century, complete reconstruction of the church was performed. Its roof was repaired, new staircase was built, wooden windows were replaced by metal windows, new stairs were built in front of the main entrance, and a complete restoration of the church's interior was performed. Total costs of the reconstruction amounted to 23,000 Guldens, out of which count Harrach paid 7,364 Guldens, the village paid 6,350 Guldens, and the faithful paid 7,000 Guldens. Last modifications of the church were performed in 1996, roof was repaired, and interior paintings were restored in the total amount of 300,000 CZK. The church was consecrated again, afterwards. The church is proud of its sundial, which was renovated in 1970.

The chapels of Rokytnice
One of five chapels of Rokytnice is situated on the Kostelní hill. In 1724, a wooden chapel was built here, and in 1768 it was demolished and replaced by a brick chapel. In the past, this place was chosen as a place for construction of a new square, but it did not happen, and the square was built in Dolní Rokytnice nad Jizerou.
The second chapel you can find near the football pitch in Horní Rokytnice. It became famous mainly for its appearance in some scenes of the movie Krakonoš a lyžníci.
The third and fourth chapels you will find when walking on the summer side to the Old people's home.
The fifth and last chapel of Rokytnice you will find in Františkov near the boarding house Pension U Hásků.
